About Us
SJ Dance was formed by Sammy in 2015, with just a handful of dancers taking Adult Jazz. We have grown to offer Adult classes in Jazz, Ballet and Tap to various levels and have welcomed many more dancers into our SJ Family.

As the company has grown, our aim remains the same - to provide inclusive, supportive, friendly classes for adults no matter what experience you have.
​In the summer of 2017, SJ Dance had their first performance opportunity.
Sammy choreographed for The Walt Disney Company's entry into the London LGBT Pride Parade. SJ Dancers and employees of The Walt Disney Company performed a repeating sequence of 8 different routines, leading the 250+ strong Disney team through the streets of London for many hours! This was such a proud and unforgettable moment for all involved!

In February 2018, we held our first SJ Showcase - to a packed out audience, at the POSK Theatre in Hammersmith. Dancers and singers came together to perform 18 numbers and the show was a resounding success.

March 2019 saw our second annual showcase, another great night! Our performers entertained the sell out crowd with songs and dances from their favourite musicals, pop hits, classic tunes and more.

In April 2019, our troupe - after a successful audition - performed a 20 minute show on stage at Disneyland Paris.
This was a lifelong dream for many of our performers, and such an incredible experience for all involved.

2020/21 were not the years we expected, to say the least! We were due to have our annual showcase "A Night at the Movies" and return to Disneyland Paris once again to perform and also be a part of the Main Street Parade.
Instead, we spent lockdown hosting many dance and fitness classes on Zoom until we were finally able to return to the studio.

In 2022 we finally performed our updated version of "A Night at the Movies" - an incredible, emotional night for all of us! Soon after, we headed to Disneyland Paris, for our second performance at the park! An magical experience yet again.

In May 2023 we held another annual showcase, this time "A Night at the Musicals". And in July, we had our West-End debut! The troupe performed routines as part of a showcase, at The Shaftesbury Theatre in the heart of London's theatre district. Such an incredible opportunity!

In April 2024 we headed to Blackpool to dance in the famous Tower Ballroom. One of our favourite ever performances and a brilliant weekend away. We are now preparing for our annual showcase "Dancing Through Time", to be held on 7th June.
​
You can now register your interest for our 2025 showcase, and for your chance to be part of the troupe performing at Disneyland Paris next year! We'll be auditioning soon, and hoping to be invited back for a 3rd time!
